Love it! The fans out there thinks she's a beauty with 2 eyes like humans has but in fact she only has one like a cyclops. She did choose a heteromorphic being after all. Modified it's body to that of a humanoid figure. Other than that she looks awesome and gorgeous for a one-eyed monster.
Wonder if she has thing for Ainz if Nigel decide to create a background story for her in her mysterious past with Momonga (Ainz old name). A story of once she was belong to a group then defected her comrades to going solo. Going with a one-eyed player and a skeleton Overlord player sounds good to me.
Love it! now thats a better picture. I had a question though, I thought the eye things floated and she sent one out away from her body to track down the fish guy who was controlling the hydras. I didnt realize that they were connected to her body
and i have another pic for my monstergirl collection yay^^ and ...For an indefinite duration... ...indefinite duration.... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU......
So question, where does this fit in? Idk much about it just started reading through. I heard she might've been an old member of AOG but defected so can someone explain it to me
I can well understand the hiatus, permanent or otherwise - establishing the characters, setting and premise is fun and entertaining for a writer, while actually working out some greater overarching crisis/conflict these characters are going to deal with (and how they deal with it) can often be a hard slog. Personally, I think with a bit of editing here and there, a few additions and clarifications, this story ending where it does would stand up quite well by itself.
You know, I've just thought of a perfect ending to Overlord. That is, Momonga, through his experiences in this world and in interaction with Nazarick's NPCs, learns how to manage a top guild properly and how to properly roleplay his position. When it all ends, he finds himself in the golden days of the guild, and his, now proper, management, roleplay and attitude keeps his friends from leaving the guild, thus preventing the lonely scene we read in Volume 1.
This is both heartwarming and tear-jerking. Yours, TStAPP.
That's no good. Even though that the novel is written accordingly to anime style it doesn't mean to end like that. When it comes to novel you must add realism into it to make story appealing and interesting. In Overlord the world in reality is like a dystopian society, a futuristic war in Europe, unfairness in social boundary and advanced high tech online game. And when it comes playing online games such as YGGDRASIL the VRMMORPG in that world it doesn't mean you can play the game forever because you have to deal the real world to keep working so you can lived. Adding realism into it is also one of key figures to anime and novel. The good ending would be that in the New World, Ainz and his companion's characters would ruled that world in both blood and peaceful bliss. This is one unique story where the protagonist is both a villain and a hero. You know those classic anime, manga, novel talks about a person from reality ending up in a fantasy world where he or she is a hero/heroine is getting old and cliche. That is why this light novel has a unique flavor where the evil itself would destroy hope and darkness is everlasting where no such light and good would win. I think the author has already that in his mind.
The ending cannot be considered "good" if poor, suffering Momonga is not reunited with his friends. He only cares about them and the memories they made together, after all.
Tore through all 8 chapters in a day, and I enjoyed it, but damn it sucks to stop reading something good. Although the end of ch. 8 could be considered an open ending, I want more.
I hope you'll find the time to keep this serie going. I just finished reading Overlord and BMG one after the other. This is my 1st time reading light novel, and I love it. Thanks for all the work. I hope I'll get to see the remainder of it one day.
T-T

ReplyDeleteIs that Evileye's backstory? Though it sounds like the future, considering the composition of the adventurer's team.
ReplyDeleteno, you can see this from the picture. The main character is a gaizer not a vampire.

ReplyDeleteThank you very much for this story. It felt very similar to OL in style & left me longing for more.
