      use MPC-HC (media player classic home cinema) instead of VLC

      then use the re-sync option to manually alter the subs timing (a bit tedious, but it's manageable, and it's simpler than seeking for movie with appropriate duration, which match the ASS file)

      VLC also has that subtitle timing adjusthing. Hotkeys are G and H.

      turned out, it was easier to be done than re-syncing the subs for first movie

    Like the subs of the first Movie, you will have to either go get Reinforce's version or re-sync it yourself. A tool that I can recommend is Aegisub, with just a few clicks you can completely re-sync all of the subs. Or if you use MPC-HC, you can also re-sync it with that but it will take way longer than the first method.
